Thinking Essay (timed)

When thinking about thinking, it's hard to think about what thinking really is. A dictionary definition won't cover it; thinking is more in-depth than a simple definition from one person's opinion or perspective. Thinking really is "talking with oneself... hence also inwardly listening." From that quote, the process of thinking is really put into a new perspective. Thinking is a lonely thing. You can share your thoughts, but your thoughts that you share are produced after you've thought about something on your own, and processed it. You can think aloud, but all the while, you are still going through a thinking process alone in your head, and also listening to your thoughts. I feel that Kant was correct in his quote to say that "thinking is 'talking with oneself... hence also inwardly listening.' You think on your own, and all the while, you listen to your thoughts and process them as well.
